Shopping in Marrakech is split between the medina’s dense souk network and the modern grid of Guéliz. The most useful streets are therefore not all alike: one may be best for fixed-price fashion and cafés, while another is valuable for craft browsing and the experience of negotiating in the old city.
Treat these as walking areas rather than single-store recommendations. Shop hours vary, medina lanes become crowded at different times, and the best purchase often comes from comparing several sellers before committing.
Avenue Mohammed V
Avenue Mohammed V is the main modern-city shopping spine, linking fashion stores, cafés, services and malls through Guéliz toward the medina. It is the easiest street for visitors who prefer visible prices and a conventional urban shopping environment.
Walk the central section slowly and use side streets to expand the choice. Midday heat can make the long avenue tiring, so morning or early evening is often more comfortable.

Rue Yougoslavie
Rue Yougoslavie adds independent boutiques, galleries and cafés to the Guéliz mix. The street has more creative personality than a mall and is particularly useful for combining contemporary art with shopping.
Pair it with nearby Rue de la Liberté and Avenue Mohammed V. Storefronts change over time, so browsing the full block is more rewarding than targeting one old recommendation.

Rue de la Liberté
Rue de la Liberté is a compact Guéliz shopping street with fashion, accessories and local boutiques close to restaurants and larger commercial avenues. It makes a good link between better-known shopping zones rather than a separate expedition.
Use it as part of a circular walking route through central Guéliz. If you are carrying larger purchases, taxis are easy to find on the nearby main roads.

Souk Semmarine
Souk Semmarine is the classic medina shopping route, where textiles, leather, lamps, shoes and craft goods lead into branching specialized souks. The appeal is as much the changing street scene as any one product category.
Compare quality before bargaining and decide your own maximum price before negotiations become prolonged. Visit earlier for easier movement or later for a more intense atmosphere.

Rue Riad Zitoun El Kdim
Riad Zitoun El Kdim combines tourist-oriented boutiques, craft shops, cafés and riad entrances on a busy route south of Jemaa el-Fnaa. It is easier to navigate than some deeper souk lanes and useful for last-minute gifts.
Prices and quality vary widely, so keep browsing rather than buying at the first storefront. The street is also a practical route toward Bahia Palace and the Mellah.
